SAVE THE DATE: 28 APRIL 2020

ECFR and CPHU will jointly host an international conference on ‘Low Capital Companies and Creditor Protection’ on Tuesday 28 April 2020 at the magnificent Ceremonial Hall in central Copenhagen. Limited liability carries an inherent need to safeguard the interests of creditors. Traditionally, this has been achieved by mandating a statutory minimum capital. Whereas this has been harmonised for public limited companies, there is no such requirement in EU company law for private companies and recent years have seen a steady move away from this solution towards other ways of protecting creditors. The conference will explore the available solutions in ten EU Member States and discuss the pro & cons. The conference will be of interest to jurists working with company law and entrepreneurs and start-ups.
